The VPPA was established in 2018 through an Act of parliament, the VPPA Act. Our mandate is to enable Vanuatu’s primary producers to register their business activities with us and we provide the environment where they can collaborate on matters critical to the development and advancement of Vanuatu’s primary production sector.
Legislation
The Vanuatu Primary Producers Authority (VPPA) was established, with the passing of the Vanuatu Primary Producers Authority Act No. 18 of 2018, by Parliament in 2018. The purposes of the Act include:
Establishing a Vanuatu Primary Producers Authority and its associated forums
Enabling Vanuatu primary producers to register their primary product groups with the Authority
Enabling Vanuatu primary producers to collaborate on matters critical to the development and advancement of the Vanuatu’s primary production sector
to provide for the funding of the Authority, and its activities
