Pacific Leaders, Investors and Innovators to Convene for 2026 Pacific SIDS Solutions Forum to accelerate agrifood transformation

The Government of the Republic of Vanuatu and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will co-host the 2026 Pacific Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Solutions Forum from 3 to 6 November 2026 in Port Vila, Vanuatu. The four-day event will be held under the theme “Solutions for a Resilient Blue Pacific: Scaling Innovation and Financing Agrifood Systems Transformation

Pacific island countries face growing challenges from climate change, food insecurity, economic vulnerability, and disruptions to supply chains. These pressures affect not only how food is produced, but also how it is processed, transported, sold, and made available to people.

Against this backdrop, the Forum will bring together governments, development partners, financial institutions, the private sector and other stakeholders to identify practical solutions that can help Pacific countries build more resilient and sustainable agrifood systems. This includes supporting farmers, fishers and food producers; strengthening local food production and markets; improving the way food is processed, transported and sold; making healthy food more affordable and accessible; and helping communities adapt to climate change.
